Check Statistics of Candidates for 2013 UTME In Your School Of Choice So Far

The 2013 JAMB UTME statistics of candidates has been published on MySchoolGist.com, so you can get the details from their page from their.

2012 Statistics


JAMB officially reports that the number of registered student for the UTME 2012 that will hold on the 24th of March 2012 is not less than 1.5 million. These 1.5 million candidates are competing for 500,000 admission slots available in the country.

JAMB registrar in the person of Prof. Dibu Ojerinde spoke at a press briefing that 1,503,931 candidates registered for the 2012 UTME in Nigeria, Benin, Ghana, Cameroon, Saudi Arabia, London & South Africa. The figure of student that registered for this year UTME grew by 10,338 as compared to the figure of candidates that sat for it last year. The registrar also made it know that 500,000 admission slots are now available as compared to the 467,000 admission slots of last year.

JAMB also maps out 3,001 centres across the country for the exam. The figure of this year approved centres is increased by 129 compared to last year figure.

Finally, It is always good to know the number of student you will be competing with in the forthcoming UTME to gain admission in the school of your choice. Knowing this information will give you a clear insight of the number of registered candidates that put in for the course you wish to study. Nigeria Universities Statistics,

University of Lagos, Unilag has the highest of a total of 75246 candidates who applied for the institution as 1st Choice and 33949 applied the school for 2nd choice.

Uniben follows with a total of 70181 1st choice candidates and 29,667 2nd choice candidates.

Following Uniben very closely is Nnamdi Azikiwe University (Unizik) with a total of 70171 of 1st Choice Candidates and 31731 2nd choice candidates.

Nigeria Polytechnics Statistics

In the polytechnics section, Federal Polytechnic Nekede has the highest number of applicants so far with a total of 137,351 candidates who applied for the institution as 1st Choice and 120,810 applied the school for 2nd choice.

Yabatech follows with a total of 104,782 1st choice candidates and 65,979 2nd choice candidates.

Following Yabatech is Auchi Polytechnic with a total of 86,280 of 1st Choice Candidates and 64,068 2nd choice candidates.

Nigeria Colleges of Education Statistics

In this category, Alvan Ikoku College of Educ. Owerri has the highest number of applicants so far with a total of 134,974 candidates who applied for the institution as 1st Choice and 127,188 applied the school for 2nd choice.

Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education, Otto/Ijanikin follows with a total of 87,883 1st choice candidates and 95,359 2nd choice candidates.

Following Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education is Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo with a total of 84,082 of 1st Choice Candidates and 61,456 2nd choice candidates.
