Internet Explorer 10 for Windows 7 Now Available for Download

Microsoft has recently announced the release of Internet Explorer 10 for Windows 7, and it is now available for download in 95 different languages. Users will be auto-upgraded to IE 10 in a few weeks, but those who are interested can go ahead and download the recently updated browser now. The new browser is available for Windows 7 users with 32-bit and 64-bit.

The surface of IE 10 looks like its predecessor IE9 on Windows 7. On Windows 7 devices, the IE 10 internet bar sat at the top, rather than on Windows 8 devices that sat at the bottom. So users who are familiar with the previous version of Internet Explorer would not find it difficult to use the new browser.

All IE 10 improvements are not visible to users, but the new browser comes with a lot of improvements: it makes webpage load faster, run smoother and provides users with more privacy. In a blog post by Microsoft, it promises the new IE 10 on Windows 7 “improves performance across the board with faster page loading, faster interactivity, and faster JavaScript performance, while reducing CPU usage and improving battery life on mobile PCs.” IE 10 also improves the hardware accelerated performance of various HTML constructs, and of JavaScript, where it provides faster floating point operations, faster object and property access, and more.

The new browser offers better support for more Web standards like HTML 5, the new CSS3 and Do Not Track (DNT) — this protects user’s privacy, so advertisers will not be able to keep tabs on your surfing habit unless you grant them permission. The DNT feature is enabled by default.

Finally, the most important feature of Internet Explorer 10 has over its predecessor Internet Explorer 9 is that it is faster that it. According to Microsoft, the new browser improved JavaScript performance and other technical changes has make IE 10 20 percent faster that IE 9.

As earlier said, IE10 for Windows 7 is available. Interested users can wait till it appears in Windows Update, or can download it directly from the Internet Explorer Website.
