Sure Ways to Convert Microsoft Word Files to Clean HTML

Microsoft Word is one of the best word processing programs, and it is available on most computers. It has so many features imbedded in it to make writing easier. If you are a blogger and uses Microsoft word to compose your blog post, you will notice that after pasting the text on your blog content management system, some kind of errors notification will appear. This happens because Microsoft Word HTML code is cluttered with redundant and unnecessary information in the HTML tags. Microsoft Word possess a lot of functionality, many people prefer it to other content management system (CMS) editor since majority of them have limited functionality. Using Gmail to Reduce and Clean Microsoft Words Redundant HTML Tags

The best way to reduce and clean the unnecessary HTML tags in Microsoft Word is to send it to a Gmail account as an attachment. Follow the steps outlined below:

1. Go to your favorite email program, compose an email, attach the Word document (in .doc or .docx format) to the email and then send the email to your Gmail account.
2. Open the Gmail item with the attachment; click the link that says “View as HTML”. The document will immediately open in a new tab of your browser.
3. Go to the new tab where the attachment opened as HTML, now click “Ctrl+U” on your keyboard to view the page source.
4. Copy the whole code and paste it into a HTML editor or Notepad. Don’t paste it back on Microsoft Word.
5. At the top of the code, delete the code Google adds i.e. the “Download the original attachment”.
6. Make the changes you wish to make on the code and then use it wherever you want to use it.

Using Textism Word HTML Cleaner

Textism is another awesome and free program to clean unnecessary HTML tags in Microsoft documents. To use Textism, save a Word document ‘as Web Page…’ to your hard drive (this will not work with ordinary Word files, e.g., filename.doc). Choose the HTML file to upload, and then process. Conclusion:
